Shop on Bookshop.org to support your local bookstore. Check out Goldberry Books & their big IRL event Monday 12/8! (And don’t forget those December birthdays.)
I love your list. Joshua Mehigan’s Accepting the Disaster, Geoffrey Hill’s Broken Hiérarchies, Alexis Sears Out of Order, and Christopher Childers The Penguin Book of Greek and Latin Verse are some of my favorite books too.
I love this, Zina! This is the way forward. Championing the personal instead of only bemoaning the impersonal. So many good recommendations here. I am currently reading The Locust Years, and poems keep making me tear up.
Oh, Abigail! Thank you for this note! Yes, Paul’s book is awesome, isn’t it. I’ve marked it down much with notes too. Such a gorgeous collection. My favorite poems are the ones to his wife Emily.
Landlords are the worst. We had a favorite sports bar where we played trivia in our twenties. They raised the rent one too many times and they had to close. 13 years later that spot still hasn’t been rented out. They destroyed a thriving business for nothing.
I have been on the fence about purchasing the 2026 mysteries or checking them out, maybe I will order some of them to help Goldberry out. (I already ordered the flagship show books that I didn’t already own and some merch.)

Oh, wonderful! So much overlap. ❤️
Wow. Thank you so much for this! 🥹
You’re welcome! Hope you had a great birthday! And a good turnout for Daniel and Vesper!

I am going to need to put it on my wish list when I take it back to the library because this is a book that needs marking up.

I’m really frightened about this rent situation. I hope they can stay open. I’ll hope this post helps!
